Tay-K Indicted On Second Murder Charge
After previously being found guilty of a separate murder charge earlier this year, 19-year-old California rap artist Tay-K, born Taymore McIntyre, has been indicted on another capital murder charge.
According to ABC affiliate KSAT News, the rapper allegedly shot a 23-year-old photographer, Mark Anthony Saldiver, in Texas’ Bexar County back in April 2017 after stealing his camera equipment. Saldiver was reportedly in the vehicle with the rapper and two other people when he was robbed of his "expensive camera equipment" and then forced out of the vehicle.
Saldivar then "jumped onto the hood" of the vehicle to stop the trio from getting away before the car pulled into a Chick-fil-A parking lot, the site reports. Tay-K allegedly got out of the car, pulled out a handgun, and shot Saldiver to death before fleeing the scene, according to a press release from the Bexar County Texas district attorney’s office. The report adds that Tay-K was 16 years old at the time.
Prior to this case, Tay-K was handed down a 55-year prison sentence and fined $10,000 for a similar case that stemmed from the murder of 21-year-old Ethan Walker. According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the murder occurred during botched robbery in the Dallas-Forth Worth Metropolitan area that was orchestrated by McIntyre and several of his associates. He was additionally sentenced to 30 years in prison and handed down two 13-year sentences, which were all related to aggravated robbery.

As widely reported by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the 19-year-old infamously kicked off a nationwide manhunt after he cut off his ankle monitor while he was under house arrest and went on the run. While on the lam, he recorded and released a music video for his song “The Race” in 2017, which boosted him to fame before he was apprehended that same day in New Jersey.
Tay-K is currently being held at the Bexar County jail awaiting trial.
