Unreleased Prince Music to be Featured at Paisley Park's ‘Celebration 2023’
Paisley Park’s celebration of the life and legacy of singer and songwriter Prince is expected to have an extra special surprise for music fans this year, as they can expect to hear several unreleased songs by the late Grammy Award-winner during their stay.
For its fourth year, supporters of the music icon will be allowed into Prince’s recording vault at his Minnesota compound. The event is set to run across four days, starting June 8th. It will include performances by Stokley of Mint Condition, award-winning Minnesota gospel ensembles Sounds of Blackness and The Steeles, Prince’s longtime collaborator Shelby J, DJ Rashida, and many more. There will even be a new artist showcase.
In addition, there will also be a celebrity panel discussion including several influential figures from the industry, the likes of “The Queen of Funk” Chaka Khan, legendary hip-hop figures Chuck D and D-Nice, Doug E. Fresh, and more. Topics will break down the “Purple Rain” singer’s life and career, as well as his relationship with hip-hop and the significance of the number “7” featured throughout his work. 2023 marks seven years since the songwriter passed away from an accidental fentanyl overdose.
Tickets to the event are on sale now.
