Man Posts Outrageous Video of Uber Driver Receiving Oral Sex and Says Company Only Offered $10 Credit
A man from Boston has put Uber back in the hot seat after recording what appeared to be his driver receiving oral sex from an unidentified woman.
Just before 3 a.m. on of July 17, Aner Manuel was finishing his night in Chicago, where he was visiting. After ordering a ride through the car service app, his driver pulled up in the Wrigleyville neighborhood.
However, once the car arrived, Manuel was surprised to see a woman in the front seat, especially since he did not select the Uber pool ride share.
"It was late, I was like, 'Ah, I'll get in,'" Manuel told Esquire. "I figured it was a family member or something."
Then, the situation became stranger when the ride actually began. Manuel explained the woman appeared under the influence of something and eventually started to kiss and touch the man.
"I think he assumed at that time of night I was too intoxicated to notice what was going on," Manuel told Esquire of the ride. As this began, he took out his phone and hit record.
In the video, the woman appeared to give the man oral sex
"At that point, she started loosening his pants, and I was like, 'Alright, I know where this is going,'" Manuel said. "I was like OK, right here is fine!"
Manuel then ended his ride early, but not without getting an unusual request from the driver.
"He said, 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry,' like twice. But he didn't really prevent it,” Manuel told Esquire. He then added that the driver hoped he’d still get a good rating.
After leaving the car, Manuel contacted Uber. He said the company offered him a $10 credit and promised they would investigate the incident. However, Manuel said four days went by without any updates. He then decided to post the clip to Facebook and Twitter.
Manuel posted the video and his account on Uber's Facebook page
After the clip went viral, Manuel said the company took the issue more seriously
"The behavior of this former driver is appalling and is not tolerated on the Uber app. As soon as this situation was reported to us, we immediately removed this driver's access," Uber said in a statement to Esquire.
Manuel said the only reason he posted the video was because Uber wasn't taking action.
"I posted the video because they weren't doing anything at all. They were ignoring me. I did it to give it a little push."
