Matt Barnes Leads March For Unity And Action Over Stephon Clark's Death
Matt Barnes is leading a rally for unity and action surrounding the death of 22-year-old Stephon Clark at the hands of police.
The rally is being held in his hometown of Sacramento Saturday (March 31). Barnes also attended Clark’s funeral on Thursday.
“I love Sacramento and this community will always be a part of me,” Barnes said. “As the father of two boys, I can’t stay silent on this issue. We clearly need to unite, organize, and act to bring the accountability that is so desperately needed. This rally is the beginning to seeing that change.”
Joining Barnes is Reverend Shane Harris of National Action Network, members of Stephon Clark’s family, current players on the Sacramento Kings, community leaders and residents.
Matt Barnes was a former Kings player and retired from the NBA in 2017 after 14 seasons. See his ATTN video about police brutality below.
