50 Cent Learns a WNBA Rookie Is a Huge Fan of His and Responds Accordingly

All it took was about a month of tweeting to get the rapper to take notice.

Basketball has been soundtracked by rap music for quite some time, with players often showing love to their favorite artists and vice versa.

Most recently, Imani Boyette launched a Twitter campaign in hopes of having her rapper of choice, 50 Cent, come by to attend her team’s game against the New York Liberty. After weeks of tweeting about it, the WNBA rookie finally got the rapper’s attention.

In a post on Instagram, Fif screenshotted a news article about her “failed” Twitter campaign, promising that he will make it up to her as soon as he can. The game Boyette was rooting for the rapper to attend took place last week.

“Imani I’m coming to see you play soon as I can,” Fif wrote. “I just have to check when your [sic] playing so I can fly in.”

Needless to say, the basketball player was ecstatic that 50 finally got back to her and didn't mind it took him some time.

“YALL IM CRYING,” she posted on Twitter. “#wnba20for50 is alive and well!! LOOK AT GOD! Won't he do it?!”

Boyette has often made it known she’s one of Fif’s biggest fans, saying she has loved the rapper since her father introduced her to his music as a child. She even danced to one of his songs as the first dance during her wedding.

Boyette launched her Twitter campaign to have 50 come sit courtside back in May, offering many reasons why the rapper should take an interest in attending one of the games, and now it looks as though she’ll finally get her wish.
