Jeannie Mai Reveals The 'Homework Assignment' Jeezy Gave Her After Their Epic First Date
The Real returned to TV on Monday morning for the sixth season premiere of their show. Jeannie Mai wasted no time dishing on her new romance with rapper Jeezy, spilling details to her co-hosts Loni Love, Tamera Mowry-Housley and Adrienne Houghton in the first few minutes of the episode.
Mai talked about why this relationship is different from others in her past.
"The things I've been criticized for my whole life and in my past relationships, 'Jeannie, you're too deep. You think about things too much,' 'Why's everything got to have a purpose?'" she said. "I'm not one for small talk or small conversations — I want to know why do you think the way you do. What brought you to look at things the way you do? Who are you? Who's important to you? And I found my equal."
Continuing to gush about her new man to the audience and her co-hosts, she added, "He's introspective; he's passionate; he's incredibly deep; he's a visionary; he's a great leader. He's an amazing servant to his community."
As previously reported, the two reportedly first bonded over their love for community service and their philanthropic efforts. They also made their first public debut as a couple at Jeezy's inaugural Snoball gala.

Elsewhere in the episode, Jeannie also revealed the details about their first date, which she said lasted for eight hours.
"Four hours later, we shut down the sushi restaurant, we had the most amazing, deep talk about our greatest lessons in life, our greatest mistakes," she said. "It was super vulnerable."
After dinner, she said he asked her to go salsa dancing, and what he told her at the end of the night she said stole her heart: "He looks at me, he goes, 'Can I give you a homework assignment?... I want you to think about the last eight hours we spent together, and think about what do you envision us doing together. What do you picture me being in your life? If that matches my notes, I will pursue you. If not, we're cool to be friends.'"
Well, alright then Jeezy.
