Raz B Hospitalized After Nightclub Fight
Raz B was hospitalized in China Thursday (Aug. 15) after he was hit in the face with a glass bottle while trying to keep the peace at one of his shows, TMZ reports. Raz, 28, was performing at Zhejiang nightclub and attempted to break up a fist fight between audience members when someone swung a bottle and hit him in the mouth.
Police mistakingly arrested the former B2K member alongside his attacker, but let him go once they determined he did nothing wrong. He was later taken to a hospital and underwent a one-hour surgery to repair a reported hole in his lips that required four stitches. "Thank God I made it to the hospital," he told TMZ in a statement.
The attacker paid Raz $5,000 to cover his medical expenses.
Raz has been living in China for the last three years, but plans to move back to the U.S. later this year in preparation of a "big comeback." His last release was 2010's Boy 2 King mixtape.
