Shots Fired Near Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull Video Set
Shots were fired while J.Lo was taping an interview on the set of her new video with Pitbull, "Live It Up." The singer was whisked away by security. No injuries were reported.
The former Fly Girl and rapper were on location at Fort Lauderdale beach wrapping up a two-day production when the incident occurred. Neither seemed to be the target or in any imminent danger.
"The reported shots were on the same beach, but not close to the production location," Lopez's publicist told ABCNews.com.
Local police confirmed.
"Fort Lauderdale police officers responded to a call of shots fired at the northernmost point of the Fort Lauderdale beach park parking lot,” detective DeAnna Greenlaw said in a statement. "Jennifer Lopez and her crew were filming in the southernmost end of this park … Officers responded to the area in an attempt to investigate the incident; however, the individuals involved in the shooting fled prior to their arrival. At this time, there are no known witnesses, no reported injuries and no further information.”
The video is scheduled to premiere next week.
