Scarface Had a Lot to Say About Wayne’s Hip-Hop Legacy
Lil Wayne has had a tumultuous whirlwind of a 2016, but according to one of hip-hop’s most eminent vets, Scarface, the 34-year-old will go down in history as “the greatest.”
The argument on who is most deserving of hip-hop’s G.O.A.T. crown has long been a perpetual web of hot debates, with names such as Tupac, Nas and even Eminem nearly taking the cake.
However, during a conversation with HipHopDX, Face Mob defends Lil Wayne’s head for the chaplet of hip-hop greatness.
“I think that Wayne will go down in history as one of the best,” he says in the recording. “He’s not one of the best, he’s probably the best. Wayne, that’s a dangerous lil’ n***a, man. He’ll be the greatest rapper of his time.”
Considering Wayne’s very young age of 34, 'Face gives the technicality of him being a millennial who has ran in the game beside the most seasoned rappers. Regardless of how many new faces break through hip-hop’s glass doors, he salutes that nobody can touch Weezy.
“You give me a motherf**ker that popped out their a** in the 1980s that’s that good,” he praises. “Shout out to Lil Wayne, man. He’s so f**king dope.”
