Ladies And Gentlemen, Here's A Gospel Track Featuring Nicki Minaj

Is the Head Barb turning over a new leaf?

Nicki Minaj is taking her talents to gospel music. While the Head Barb has had a slew of features this past year, her newest collaboration finds her worshipping the man above alongside Tasha Cobbs

Earlier this year, the first lady of Young Money revealed she would love to work with Tasha on a forthcoming project. Since then, Nicki has shown the gospel singer continuous love via Twitter and Instagram, even sending Tasha a "double portion blessing" over her recent marriage in March.

Several months later in July, Tasha unveiled that her new album Heart. Passion. Pursuit. would in fact feature the "No Frauds" rapper on a song titled "I'm Getting Ready." Shortly after news of the record circulated, Tasha faced immense backlash, as many members of the Christian community found her collaboration to be offensive, considering Nicki's penchant for racy lyrics.

However, the "Break Every Chain" singer didn't hesitate to clap back at the naysayers. Taking to Instagram to address her fans' concerns, Tasha referenced a Bible verse. "Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do," she wrote.

"And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with — even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department."

In spite of the controversy, the fruit of the collaboration has finally arrived and finds Nicki proclaiming her gratitude for the blessings she’s received throughout her life and musical career.
