Washington Commanders Rookie RB Brian Robinson Hospitalized After Being Wounded In Drive-By Shooting
NFL player Brian Robinson is in stable condition after surviving a possible robbery in Washington, D.C.
According to ESPN, on Aug. 28, he was shot near the 1000 block of H street NE in Washington, D.C., with police arriving a little before 6 p.m. The 23-year-old suffered two gunshot wounds to his lower extremities. A firearm was found near the scene, and two suspects, still at large, have been identified. There are reports it was a possible carjacking, but it’s unclear how Robinson was attacked.
"We have been made aware that Brian Robinson Jr. was the victim of an attempted armed robbery or carjacking in Washington, D.C.,” the Commanders said in a statement.” He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is currently being treated at the hospital, where team officials are on-site with him. We ask that you please respect Brian's privacy at this time."

Coach Ron Rivera said he visited Robinson in the hospital. “I just got done visiting w/Brian,” Rivera posted to his Twitter account. “He is in good spirits and wanted me to thank everyone for their kind words, prayers & support. He wants his teammates to know he appreciates them all for reaching out and he loves them all & will be back soon doing what he does best.”
Brian Robinson is expected to recover.
