'Shield' Actor Michael Jace Makes the Most Psychotic Excuse for Killing His Wife

This story gets increasingly disturbing.

Even more details have emerged regarding The Shield actor Michael Jace murdering his wife, and they're pretty disturbing.
According to CBS News, the actor told detectives immediately following the incident that he had no intention on killing her — he only wanted to wound her.

This new information was uncovered in a transcript during the actor's murder trial in L.A. on Thursday.

"I was just angry," he said. "All I intended to do was shoot her in the leg, and then I shot her in the leg and that was it."

The actor told detectives in 2014, following the incident, that he wanted to die after realizing what he had done: "I just ruined lives. Four lives," he said. "I mean, you could put the needle in my arm right now and be done. I'm fine with that."

According to reports, Jace murdered his wife, April, shooting her three times in front of their two sons, 8 and 5. He allegedly called 911 immediately after killing her in the hallway of their L.A. home. He claims she lunged at him before he pulled the trigger and also believed she was having an affair.

If convicted, the actor could face up to 50 years to life in prison.
