Monica Lewinsky Responds to Beyoncé’s 'Partition' Lyric
Beyoncé got herself grammar-policed by none other than Monica Lewinsky. The infamous former White House intern, best known for having an affair with then-president Bill Clinton, put Bey on blast for lyrics from her song "Partition."
In the track, Beyoncé sings, "Now my mascara running, red lipstick smudged/Oh he so horny, he want to f--k/He popped all my buttons and he ripped my blouse/He Monica Lewinsky'd all on my gown."
Lewinsky responded to the reference in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, saying, “Thanks, Beyoncé, but if we’re verbing, I think you meant ‘Bill Clinton’d all on my gown,’ not ‘Monica Lewinsky’d.’”
Though she may have a point, we're not sure how smart it is of Lewinsky — whose reputation was smeared by Kenneth Starr, Newt Gingrich and other Beltway politicos — to anger the pop queen's fans. Congress, after all, is nothing compared to the BeyHive.
