J. Prince Congratulates Megan Thee Stallion On ‘Savage’ Remix With Beyoncé In Midst Of Legal Dispute
Even J. Prince had no choice but to put aside his ongoing legal beef with Megan Thee Stallion and recognize the brilliance of her “Savage Remix” with Beyoncé.
Megan set off a tidal wave of reactions across social media when she surprise-released the remix to her hit song earlier this week. Shortly after the release, the Rap-A-Lot Records founder took to Instagram. In the post, the Houston-native expressed that he has “big respect” for Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Megan.
“In spite of lawsuits that are taking place, we all have come together on one accord for the purpose of helping those in need during this pandemic, by contributing proceeds from the Savage Remix featuring Beyoncé to The Bread of Life Charity,” J. Prince wrote in the caption. “This is how I love to see the powers of H-Town, United, at its best! Texas Stand up!”
According to a TMZ, J. Prince had to sign off on the collaboration because the label paid for the production. Sources close to the matter told the outlet that he gave his approval “in unity” to benefit Houston as all proceeds from the track will go towards Bread of Life’s COVID-19 relief efforts.

Megan Thee Stallion is currently embroiled in a lawsuit against 1501Certified Entertainment, where J. Prince serves as a consultant. In March, the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper sued her label, citing an unfair contract. The label requested for the case to be arbitrarily resolved outside of court, but a judge shot down the motion.
The 25-year-old broke down in tears from shock at collaborating with Beyoncé during a recent Instagram Live session.
“It’s really crazy ‘cause my mama was like a really huge fan of Beyoncé. ”She used to make me watch a lot of Beyoncé stuff,” Megan said in the video, tears in her eyes. “For Beyoncé to even do a song with me, I really have been out for like two years. This the beginning of year two...like Beyoncé?”
