Michael B. Jordan took over hosting honors of Saturday Night Live (Jan. 28). During his opening monologue, the Creed III actor revealed he’s on a dating app.
The 35-year-old seasoned actor boasted about his achievements over the years, but said that after he directed his first movie ever, Creed III, he went through his first public breakup,” referring to his split from Lori Harvey, 26.
“Most people after a breakup are like, ‘I’m going to get in better shape.’ But I was already in Creed shape. So I had to be like, ‘All right, I guess I’ll learn a new language. Anyway, estoy en Raya,” he said, as “I’m on Raya” flashed across the screen.
Raya is an “exclusive dating and networking platform for people in creative industries,” according to US Weekly.
While attending an NBA playoff game, Jordan was captured on camera appearing less-than enthused. This occurred within a 24-hour time period of his breakup with Lori Harvey being made public.
During the SNL opening monologue, he touched on that awkward on-camera showing.
“Look, I was just chillin,” he said. “But the internet decided that that was me being sad.” He then proceeded to joke about if people google sad Michael Jordan, “the first 8,000 results” are of the NBA legend Michael Jordan’s crying meme.
Harvey, who is daughter to Steve Harvey, first began dating Jordan in the fall of 2020. They ended their relationship after than two years.
Steve Harvey confirmed the couple’s split on his morning radio show.
“Look, as long as everyone can walk away in peace, be friends … I ain’t heard nobody say they busted no windows or nothing,” the TV host said. ““As long as you don’t put your hands on my daughter, I don’t give a damn what you do.”
