Giordano Cipriana filed a federal lawsuit against Lamar, Top Dawg Entertainment, Aftermath Records, and Interscope Records, July 10.
The visual in question is of a woman breastfeeding two babies. Cipriana reportedly shot the photo in Africa four years ago, and maintains that Lamar never got permission to use his work.
He is seeking $150,000 for each time that the reportedly unlicensed photo was used, plus money for legal fees.
At press time, Lamar’s label did not respond to BET.com's request for comment.
