Brandy To Reprise Her Role As Cinderella Again
Brandy is reprising her role as Cinderella in the new Descendants film The Pocketwatch, according to Variety.
The singer is sliding on those glass slippers after giving audiences a remarkable performance as the character in the 1997 Disney film Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.
The upcoming musical will follow Red (played by Kyle Cantrall), who is the rebellious teenage daughter of the Queen of Hearts, opposite Chloe (played by Mia Bakers), the cheerful but naive daughter of Cinderella and Prince Charming who cross paths at a momentous celebration in the kingdom of Auradon when unexpected chaos breaks out.
In order to prevent an impending coup, they must join forces to travel back in time, via a magical pocket watch created by the Mad Hatter’s son, to stop an event that would lead to grave consequences.
The film will also see Rita Ora joining the cast, playing the Queen of Hearts. Her character is described as “withholding and tyrannical, ruling over the kingdom of Wonderland with an iron fist.”
No date has been set yet for the film’s release.
