ASCAP Black History Month R&B Performances: Moxie Knox Performs ‘Brown Skin’
It’s the second of four weekly performances presented by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and BET.com.
As Black History Month continues its strong start, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) are stepping in to celebrate the momentous month.
On Monday (February 13), ASCAP’s campaign sheds a light on rising R&B artist Moxie Knox, who took her opportunity in the spotlight to sing a cover of India.Arie’s “Brown Skin.”
‘“I love this song,” Knox says. “It celebrates how beautiful brown skin is and all the many different shades it comes in.”
Next week, ASCAP’s BHM campaign will continue with another artist. Stay tuned for that!
