Tech N9Ne Announces Special Effects Album, Tour
Kansas City rapper Tech N9ne is getting ready to drop the “best album” of his career. On Thursday (Jan. 15), the independent rap mogul announced the release of Special Effects, out May 5.
The new album follows up 2014’s Strangeulation, which debuted atop the indie and rap charts, and in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200.
Though he hasn’t yet announced names, Special Effects is set to feature an “all-star” guest list of artists and producers. “We're not giving it all away just yet, but what I can say to all my Technicians who have been patiently waiting for this, get ready for your minds to be blown!” he said in a statement. “We made some dreams come true on this album. You WILL NOT be disappointed. It's a beautiful thing.”
2015 will also see Tech 9 hitting the road beginning with March shows in Australia and New Zealand. He returns stateside for the Special Effects tour with Chris Webby, King 810, ZUSE and label mates Krizz Kaliko and MURS April 8 through June 3.
An entire itinerary will be released in the coming weeks.
