LL Cool J Says He'll Never Smoke with Snoop Dogg
LL Cool J has no intentions of smoking with Snoop Dogg.
In a recent appearance on “The Cruz Show,” the New York rapper discussed his latest album, THE FORCE (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy), which includes Snoop on the opening track, “Spirit of Cyrus.”
He was asked about the inspiration behind the song. “I got a call from a high-level person in law enforcement and they were telling me, ‘Yo, you need to stay in the house,’ and I'm like, ‘Why do I need to stay in the house?’ It was like, ‘Well, there's a manhunt out for this guy named Christopher Dorner and you look exactly like him,’” LL said. “And then I went on the internet and I'm looking at this guy and it's like I see his face, and he looks just like me.”
He added that he knew Snoop was the perfect fit for the track, especially considering his “dangerous, rough, and raw” sound, exemplified by classics like 1995’s “Murder Was the Case.” LL quickly brushed off the notion when asked if he ever smokes with Snoop. “Nah, I ain't trying to smoke with Snoop. Snoop ain't gonna have me in the emergency room,” he joked. “I ain't built for that baby.”
