Dwyane Wade Parts Ways With Jordan Brand
After nine years promoting the shoe brand, Dwyane Wade has decided to move on. The Miami Heat player's contract with Nike expired at the end of September and both parties decided to move on. Wade first represented for Converse, which is also owned by Nike, and then switched to Jordan in 2009.
Wade said he feels "honored to have represented my favorite player of all time and his brand."
During his time with Converse, he had a line of shoes called "The Wade" and was later chosen by Michael Jordan to debut the Air Jordan 2010 during that year's NBA All-Star game. A year later he released his first signature shoe for Jordan.
