Judge Decides If Mary J. Blige’s Ex-Husband Deserves To Profit From Her Heartbreak

Kendu Isaacs was seeking royalties from her post-divorce hits.

The drama between Mary J. Blige and her estranged husband, Kendu Isaacs, came to a head today.

According to TheBlast.com, financial requests made by both the R&B songstress and her former manager were shot down by the judge presiding over their recent spousal support trial.

MJB reportedly asked the judge to reduce her $30,000 monthly payments while her ex-husband’s requested an additional $35,000, bringing his monthly payments to $65,000.

Kendu Isaacs claims he was entitled to such a drastic increase as a result of his ex’s break up inspired Strength of a Woman album and the success it’s garnered.

TheBlast.com also reports that the debate over whether or not Isaacs is entitled to royalties from the album and a series of other financial issues have been postponed until a future hearing.
