Beyoncé And Blue Ivy Carter Hit The Stage In Dubai For The Superstar’s First Performance In Four Years
Beyoncé and all her glory is starting off 2023 with a bang!
Four years after The Queen’s last headlining show, the legendary singer and her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, performed at the new Atlantis The Royal Resort in Dubai on Saturday night (January 21).
The star-studded show began as a theatrical production as violinists first hit the stage before Bey’s dancers and other musicians followed, standing still with their hands folded in front of the Egyptian-themed backdrop. Beyoncé was then raised via a platform while wearing a yellow corseted dress, topped with a feathered skirt and backpiece.
Subsequently, Beyoncé announced that her father, Mathew Knowles, mother, Tina Knowles, husband Jay-Z, and children, Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir Carter were all in the audience to support her.
During the evening, Beyoncé underwent three different wardrobe changes, including a red corseted jumpsuit topped with a skirt after the yellow one she wore at the start. She later donned a crystal-adorned mini-dress to close out the show.
Beyoncé had a team working with her in Dubai on the various costumes, and even her mother, Tina Knowles, was a designer of the background singers and orchestra costumes along with Tim White. Other designers included: Slimi Studios, who worked on the female dancers' outfits, Tim White, who designed the male dancers' costumes. And all of the outfits were sewn by local Dubai tailors. Beyoncé's glam squad included Neal Farinah on hair, Rokael Lizma, on makeup, and KJ Moody as her stylist.
Blue Ivy also joined her mother on stage and even did a little choreography.
During her hour-long set, Beyoncé performed a myriad of songs from throughout her career, but nothing from Renaissance, which many believe she’s waiting to do for a tour in 2023.
