Jonathan Majors Breaks Silence on Robert Downey Jr. Replacing Him as Next 'Avengers' Villain

The actor says he didn’t receive the same love and patience that Downey and Ezra Miller received, even though they were once under scrutiny.

Jonathan Majors finally broke his silence after learning that Marvel had replaced his role as Kang the Conqueror with Robert Downey Jr.'s role as Doctor Doom in the next Avengers movies.

It was originally titled "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty," Majors was expected to be the title villain. He was dropped by Disney last year after he was found guilty of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

During a recent conversation with TMZ, the “Creed III” star admitted that he was heartbroken. "Yeah, heartbroken," he said. "Yeah of co–Come on, come on, of course. I love him. I love Kang."

Majors added that he is still excited and looking forward to watching the introduction of Doctor Doom and made it clear that his negative feelings are more towards the loss of Kang than Downey becoming Marvel’s new title villain.

Elsewhere during the conversation, the reporter mentioned that Downey and fellow white actor Ezra Miller had problems with the law in the past but still received big opportunities in Hollywood. When asked if it was "unfair," Majors replied, "I think it's fair that Mr. Downey has been greeted with patience and curiosity and love, and that Mr. Miller has gotten the same treatment, and that they're being allowed to work their art and be creative at that level. I didn't really get that, so."
