Evelyn Lozada Is Suing A Member Of Her Staff For Leaking Lies About Her Abusive Relationship

Don’t believe everything you read about the "Baskeball Wives" star.

Evelyn Lozada recently filed a lawsuit against her former publicist who she claims defamed her by spreading false information about her and her co-stars with the sole intent of having them featured on her reality show, Basketball Wives.

According to The Blast, Lozada claims in the suit that her ex-publicist, Danika Berry, spread lies about her and her ex-husband, former NFL star Chad Johnson, whom she claimed physically abused her during their relationship.

The reality star said that after she and Berry fell out in December 2016, they ended their work relationship. However, she claims that after they severed ties, Berry began defaming her to several people in the entertainment industry.

Referencing one particular incident, Lozada said Berry allegedly told a reporter that while the reality star was married to Johnson, she was secretly involved in a sexual relationship with a "prominent New Orleans music mogul." She went on to claim that the statement was published on a website in February 2018, and she was forced to send off a cease and desist to Berry as a result.

Despite her legal threat, Lozada went on to further claim that Berry proceeded to tell her fellow Basketball Wives co-star Tami Roman that she was actually the aggressor in the domestic dispute she had with Johnson that ultimately led to the dissolving of their marriage.

Lozada is suing Berry for unspecified damages.

A rep for Berry reached out to The Blast with the following statement: "She had no knowledge of the lawsuit or the allegations within it. She is not a viewer of the show and is not aware of any storylines."
