This Migos Member Is Being Accused Of Robbery And Assault At Grammys After-Party
The festivities surrounding the 2018 Grammy Awards on Sunday night (January 28) gathered music stars from all over the nation into one huge Big Apple event at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
But according to TMZ, Quavo, a member of Atlanta’s trap star trio Migos, may have gathered up a rap sheet after allegedly assaulting a jeweler at an after-party following the award ceremony.
The site reports that the incident occurred at New York’s 1Oak nightclub, where Quavo and popular industry gem dealer Eric The Jeweler got into a verbal altercation around 4:30 a.m. The tiff reportedly started over a conversation dealing with money owed to Eric from Quavo before things got violent. But after Eric was jumped by another individual of Quavo’s entourage, TMZ reports of law enforcement statements, he reported the assault to police. Other sources from TMZ state that the unnamed individual wasn’t Takeoff or Offset.
Additional reports state that Eric suffered only minor facial injuries and a snatched $30,000 chain amid the alleged altercation. Thus, his police report adds robbery to the assault as well.
No official arrest warrants have been reported so far, but TMZ concludes that police would like to have a word with the Culture II rap stars and their manager.
