How the Black American Dad Foundation Promises to Care Without Limits™

Pain affects everyone, so Tylenol and BET are celebrating #DadsWithoutLimits.

In honor of Father's Day and Juneteenth, Tylenol is celebrating #DadsWithoutLimits by partnering with the Black American Dad Foundation, which provides a vast range of resources to champion the advancement of Black fathers.

Black American Dad Foundation president and executive director Jeremy Givens works tirelessly to provide necessary resources for the enrichment of Black fathers. “It was an idea that I had from college that I wanted to change the narrative and the perception of what Black fathers are and what they represent,” the father of one said while being recognized for his efforts.

The media often misrepresents Black fathers as absentee or emotionally disconnected from parenting. However, the Black American Dad Foundation helps dispel those damaging myths by offering several programs that focus on Black dads’ advancement, including B.A.D. Jobs, a professional development initiative that guides fathers through the employment process; B.A.D. Fit, which helps dads stay healthy; and its newest program, Law Enforcement Connection strives to bridge the gap between police and the Black male community through activities and critical discussions.

Tylenol is proud to support the Black American Dad Foundation’s critical work that not only empowers Black dads but also the larger Black community. BET is excited to help Tylenol amplify the stories of many dads whose care is felt deeply and helps foster an uplifting environment for the people they love.

“It has been a phenomenal year for the Black American Dad Foundation. We are continuing to grow and capture the essence, wisdom, and aspirations of Black fathers around the nation,” says Givens. “We developed an understanding of the obstacles fathers face and the sacredness of the role of “Dad.” This year, the Black American Dad Foundation captured the hearts of the dreaming father with the launch of our podcast After Bedtime, exploring  the dreams of over 30 fathers around the nation, and with The BAD Gift program, where we gifted items to over 50 dads for simply being fathers.”

BET is proud to have hosted impactful content around Father’s Day that resonated with the BET audience and allowed Tylenol to show its support in honoring the involvement of dads in our lives.
