Penalty on Bruce Miller for unnecessary roughness.

The San Francisco 49ers released its fullback on Monday afternoon after he was arrested early Monday morning on the suspicion that he assaulted a 70-year-old man and his son.

San Francisco's KTVU is reporting that an intoxicated Miller tried to barge into a room at the Marriott on Fisherman's Wharf hotel early Monday morning when he was met by the elderly man's son, telling the 49ers fullback that he was at the wrong room.

At that point, Miller, 29, allegedly punched the elderly man in the face, breaking several of his facial bones. When the man's son tried to defend his father, Miller attacked him, too. Both the elderly man and his son were hospitalized.

Disturbing to say the least.

Surveillance video captured a disheveled Miller throwing up and bleeding shortly before he was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon — not a firearm — battery, elderly abuse and two counts of criminal threats, as reported by ESPN.

This isn't the first time that Miller has found himself in trouble with the law.

The veteran fullback was arrested in March 2015 on the suspicion of spousal battery, as his then-fiancée alleged that he pushed her during an argument. Miller denied assaulting her and opted to plead no contest to a misdemeanor charge, according to ESPN.

Miller, 29, was supposed to be entering his sixth season with the Niners.
