Jesse Jackson Forbids Daughter From Using the N-Word

There are rules to this rap game.

If Jesse Jackson’s daughter really wants to be a rapper, dad has a rule she must follow. Jackson doesn’t want 16-year-old Ashley to use the n-word in her rhymes, reports TMZ.

Jackson’s rap rules for his teenage daughter align with his public stance on the epithet. Nearly a decade ago he encouraged hip hop to get rid of the word (that clearly didn’t work).

The “no n-word” clause is fine with Ashley though. She doesn’t curse anyway, and won't be making an exception for her budding music career.

Rap won’t get in the way of her education either. The high school senior is looking at colleges like Spelman, Howard, and Georgetown. “I was thinking about majoring in business,” she told Rolling Out. “I do music and I’m trained in acting and music professionally, so I figured why not go to school so I can further myself in something new other than continuously learning those things?”

Ashley certainly sounds like she has her priorities in order.
