DJ Whoo Kid rose to prominence alongside 50 Cent as G-Unit's official DJ. By the time 50 Cent released his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin', in 2003, DJ Whoo Kid was a household name having already released a half-dozen or so mixtapes featuring G-Unit, including 50 Cent is the Future, No Mercy, No Fear, and God's Plan.

He went on to produce more than 200 mixtapes featuring artists like Snoop Dogg, T.I., Lil' Kim, Busta Rhymes etc., while regularly spinning for more than 80 clubs and events around the world each year and is currently hosting Hollywood Saturdays on Sirius/XM Radio. In March 2009, he launched the video Web site RadioPlanet.tv that merges hip hop and Hollywood.

In this interview he talks about how he got his name, coming up with DJ Clue and DJ Envy, stealing unfinished records early on for his mixtapes, being kidnapped by Big Pun, and he confirms that his mixtape with Dr. Dre will be dropping this summer.
