MAC Announces Its New Makeup Line With Taraji P. Henson!
If it seems like Taraji P. Henson’s face is everywhere, it’s because it is. From the trailer to the upcoming Hidden Figures film dropping, to the third season of the viciously addictive hit show Empire right around the corner and the upcoming release of her autobiography, it’s clear that Taraji has all forms of media on lock.
And now the actress who plays our beloved “Cookie” is staking her claim in the makeup world.
On August 23, MAC Cosmetics announced that they have teamed up with the Golden Globe-winning actress for a new limited namesake line that guarantees to be amazing with Taraji attached.
So why Henson? That’s simple.
“Taraji P. Henson has won the world over with her fearless performances, powerhouse confidence and charismatic spark. We’re thrilled to announce she is joining forces with MAC for an upcoming collaboration! Coming in September, to select markets. /react-text #MACTaraji,” reads company’s Instagram page.
The line, which costs $17-$42, consists of six pieces including beige lipstick in Strip Me Down and two shades of their Mineralize Skinfinish in Highlight the Truth and our favorite, the reddish brown Taraji Glow. Other #MACTaraji products include a plush makeup brush and black mascara and liquid liner to give you that femme fatale look.
Henson’s namesake collaboration launches on September 6 online and in select M∙A∙C stores.
And of course, the Cookie Monsters are more than excited about this:
Between this and their upcoming Selena line, MAC is killing the game, continuing its rich history of celebrating the diversity and beauty of women of color.
