Birdman Talks Net Worth, Betting $10 Million
When Forbes tabulated the wealthiest entrepreneurs in hip hop earlier this year, Cash Money's Bryan "Birdman" Williams landed at No. 4 on the list with a personal net worth of a cool $100 million. But to hear Birdman tell it, that total was embarrassingly short.
"I just felt $100 million was low," he says in a new interview with the magazine. "With all the different entities [I own], I think I should still be a lot more than that. $500 million. $250 million, easy."
Birdman, who says he tries to wear at least $1 million in clothing and accessories every day (including a $500K diamond grill), explains that he's had his eye on extreme wealth since he was just a little timer, and that he ultimately wants to become a billionaire.
"As a child I always felt if I could make $1 million, I could make $100 million. If I could get $100 million, I’m just nine steps away from being a billionaire. And that’s the goal,” he said.
To stack that kind of money, Baby may need to cut back on his penchant for gambling. The YMCMB executive reportedly lost $2 million on the Miami Heat when they were upset by the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA finals this year. Despite that, he says he'll cover his losses by betting bigger on an anticipated boxing match this September between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
"I'm going to bet $10 million," he declared.
