Keshia Knight Pulliam Says She Appreciates Living Off The Grid on A Farm With Her Family
Keshia Knight Pulliam has traded in city life for farm life.
In an interview with PEOPLE, "The Cosby Show" star discussed her new life off the grid and how living low-key is her preference these days.
“I have been in the business my entire life, spanning over 40 years,” she explained, “but I’ve also had my own private life away from it, and I appreciate that.”
She currently lives on a farm in Atlanta with her husband, Brad James, whom she met in 2019 while they co-starred in the Lifetime movie, "Pride & Prejudice: Atlanta."
“We were actually playing brother and sister,” Pulliam said. "Our paths had crossed many times before but this was the first time we saw each other.”
Their friendship hit a high moment when she invited him for Thanksgiving dinner one year.
“He came to my brother’s house with all my people and met everybody and we were literally just cast mates at the time. Five or so years later and he’s my husband and we’ve made a whole other human being.”
In September 2022, the couple exchanged vows, then welcomed their first child together, Knight, earlier this year. Pulliam is also mom to Ella Grace, whom she shares with her ex-husband Ed Hartwell.
“Ella is the best big sister ever,” she said. “So much so that sometimes I have to remind her that I am both of their mama and that she’s not the mama! But they love each other so much, it’s just a joy. The way his face lights up when he sees her, it’s amazing.”
Now, the family of four is enjoying life among wildlife, especially during the actors' strike that continues to loom.
“We live on a farm so my husband built me a greenhouse and we’re in the process of planting, taking care of chickens and goats and really just enjoying time as a family.”
