Drake's New Project Will Not Be an Apple Music Exclusive
While Drake apparently has a close relationship with Apple Music, especially considering his recent commercial with Taylor Swift, it has been reported that his forthcoming project More Life will not be exclusively available via Apple's music streaming platform.
Instead, it appears as though he'll be attacking the streaming sites from all angles, with the project set to be made readily available on Spotify, Tidal and more this weekend.
No matter which way you slice it, the 6 God dominates streaming platforms across the board, which is why it is interesting that, this time around, he chose to market the project without choosing exclusivity.
Perhaps the drastic change is related to the fact that Drizzy is referring to this new project as a playlist instead of an album, which could result in a change regarding how he's approaching it. Another probable theory could be that this decision simply was his label's.
Either way, after months of delays, anticipation and fans almost losing it, More Life is slated to be set free this Saturday (March 18). The best part? Non-Apple music subscribers won't have to wait any longer and all of Drizzy's fans will be able to hear his new music at the same time. That's definitely a perk.
Take a look at Spotify confirming they will also be receiving the project this weekend below.
