J. Cole Injures Ankle, Postpones Tour
No wonder he calls himself the Sideline Kid. Live Nation recently announced that J. Cole will have to reschedule upcoming tour dates after he injured his ankle.
According to a statement from Live Nation to the Broward New Times, the Roc Nation rapper injured himself Friday night, and so all Florida shows on his current "Cole World... World Tour" have been pushed back to October.
"Unfortunately, J. COLE broke his leg last night [Friday] so his Florida shows have all been postponed.... Revolution will honor all current tickets for the new date being scheduled in October. Those requesting refunds for tickets purchased should do so at point of sale," read the statement.
The "Work Out" rapper alluded to the injury early Saturday morning on Twitter, writing, "Friday night in the ER. Damn.. Cole World," and then adding, "Ankle on swole. This is a minor setback, yo, still in all we livin..."
Cole also addressed the injury via an update to his Facebook page, though the message has since been removed: "Due to an injury sustained last night, J. Cole's shows originally scheduled for this weekend in Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale/Miami have been postponed. Orlando has been rescheduled for September 30. Ft. Lauderdale/Miami has been rescheduled for October 1. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."
