Travis Porter Set to Release Indie Film Red Rock

While some of us may know Travis Porter for helping guide us to the dance floor, as of late the Dirty South rap group is hoping to make a big splash with their new film, Red Rock. Fresh off the release of their long awaited debut album, From Day 1, this past May, the Atlanta trio is keeping the momentum going with a new action-packed thriller about a road trip gone awry.
Written and directed by Ryan Lightbourn, the “Party Time” rappers find themselves on the road in a tight situation after their tour bus breaks down. Local residents make it hard for the rap stars to find their way out and the threesome must resort to desperate measures for their survival. Also on hand to help Quez, Strap and Ali with their silver screen introduction is sexy vixen Wankaego, who co-stars in the film. You've probably seen her in the pages of your favorite hip hop skin magazines (Black Men, Straight Stuntin).
Not all dark themes and near-death fight scenes, the film is full of partying, good music and adult humor to lend some balance to the suspenseful scenario about a road trip from hell that most MCs would dread.
Red Rock, a straight to DVD release, hits stores November 19th.
