Tyler, the Creator Takes Top 5 on Billboard
Tyler, the Creator scored his second consecutive Top 5 debut on the Billboard album chart with Cherry Bomb. His latest studio release moved 58,000 copies since it’s April 13 digital drop date (physical copies hit retailers April 17) earning a No. 4 spot on the chart.
The Los Angeles rapper’s numbers include streaming and traditional sales, accounting for 51,000 units, while just over 2,000 physical copies were sold. Tyler’s last album, 2013’s Wolf, sold 89,000 copies to debut at No. 3 on Billboard.

As for last week’s second big rap release, Young Thug’s Barter 6, pulled less than half of Tyler’s first-week figures at No. 26. Barter 6 pushed an equivalent of 19,000 copies, but to be fair the album was leaked early and was only released digitally.
