Aoki Lee Simmons is a supermodel! All eyes were on the Harvard University student as she strutted down the runway at Sergio Hudson’s Spring 2023 Ready-To-Wear show during New York Fashion Week.
Proud mom Kimora Lee Simmons cheered from the front row as she watched her 20-year-old daughter follow in her footsteps with a successful career in modeling.
For her first look, Aoki styled in a ‘90s-inspired black mini dress featuring padded shoulders and a full-length violet zipper. Her look was completed with black stockings, black platform heels, and an eye-catching violet belt that commanded attention.
The model later changed into a trendy denim ensemble that would be perfect for date night with that special someone.
According to USA Today, the inspiration behind Hudson’s collection paid homage to '90s fashion icons like Barbie, Fran Fine of The Nanny, and Hilary Banks of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Hudson told the media outlet that he wanted people to “feel good” when they saw the collection filled with neon colors, bold prints, and flirty silhouettes. He explained, "I feel like people are so scared about where we're going with the economy and all of that … and I'm just like, can I just give somebody something to be happy about?"
