'YOLO' and 'Cray' Added to the Oxford English Dictionary

Other words added include "amazeballs," "ICYMI," "FML," and "side-eye."

Proving the massive impact of the hip hop vernacular, the Oxford English Dictionary has announced this week that "cray" and YOLO" are set to be added to the ever-growing list of music-crazed words.

Popularized by Kanye West's smash collab with Jay Z, "N***** In Paris," and Drizzy's quotable acronym for "You only live once" from his hit single "The Motto" with Lil' Wayne, the terms have literally taken lives of their own, making it a trendy thing to say — at least two years ago.

Other in vogue words from music past that were added to the dictionary include "bootylicious" and "twerk."

According to Billboard, among the new batch of words joining the list include "amazeballs," "binge-watch," "ICYMI," "FML," "hate-watch," SMH," and "side-eye."
