Kerry Washington has managed to carry her pregnancy with such beauty and grace and now, nine months after giving birth to her first child, Washington is back to her pre-pregnancy body and looking smashing. The Scandal star spoke with E! Online about her pregnancy and how she shed the baby weight, but we have to warn you that there’s no secret trick at play here.

“I’m mostly working 16-hour days and spending a lot of time running after my little girl,” Washington said of daughter Isabelle Amarachi Asomugha.

There was no denying Washington’s glow throughout her pregnancy, but she also knew how to dress for her changing body. One thing she couldn’t let go of no matter how much her belly grew? Her love for heels. The actress presented Christian Louboutin with the Women’s Shoe Designer of the Year award at the the Daily Front Row’s Fashion Los Angeles Awards this past weekend.

"I famously wore my high heel Louboutins until I was 10 and a half months pregnant," Washington said. "I was at the Oscars in my Louboutins wobbling. My mother said she didn't breath the entire time I presented at the Oscars because I was hugely pregnant in my Louboutins."

"He has famously said that there is no need for women to be comfortable," she said, declaring the designer’s motto. "He's said being comfortable, it's a like a relationship. You don't want to be comfortable in a relationship. You want a relationship full of passion. I love that."

And thanks to the red-soled heels, Washington said she was able to learn to work the walk and bring out the fierce, red-carpet Kerry Washington we love to watch.
