Mental health is a serious topic of conversation.
With many celebrities subjected to fan’s opinions and often public scrutiny, it’s not hard to believe that those in the limelight find themselves wanting to hide when they are struggling with mental health.
Recently, when Kanye West made singer Ariana Grande aware of how he felt that she as was making light of his mental health, the conversation between the two snowballed into a larger conversation of suicide after Ariana's ex, Pete Davidson, received a slew of backlash while coming to Kanye's defense resulting in a him posting a seemingly suicidal note.
From opening up about being diagnosed with bipolar syndrome to talking about mental breakdowns for the last couple days, these celebrities have been open about the difficulties they've experienced with mental health, and we are happy to see such an open dialog happening.

Kanye West: "People will no longer take mental health for a joke."
Kanye West has been very open about his struggle with being bipolar, so on Dec. 15 when Ariana Grande decided to make light about his social media feud with fellow rapper Drake, Kanye took to Twitter with a series of thoughts about the topic of mental health:
Jada Pinkett-Smith: "I was extremely suicidal, I had a complete emotional collapse."
On the latest episode of her Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, Jada Pinkett-Smith opened up about struggling with suicidal thoughts which she now realizes was a nervous breakdown.
"I had gotten to LA and gotten a certain amount of success and realized that that wasn't the answer," she shared. "It wasn't what was going to make everything OK. [It] actually made this worse. I was extremely suicidal, I had a complete emotional collapse."
She added, "It's like when you just don't have control over [your] emotions, your thoughts, you feel completely and utterly out of control. I don't even think at that particular time I understood what I was going through."
In a heartfelt tweet to Pete Davidson she encouraged him to "hang in there."
Nicki Minaj: "We can be so insensitive."
After Pete Davidson posted what seemed to be a sucide note, Nicki Minaj took to Twitter with this encouraging post:

Kid Cudi: "I was completely miserable."
In the 24-minute conversation on Jada Pinkett Smith's talk show, Red Table Talk, Kid Cudi opened up about his struggles with depression after becoming a role model.
“I have to live up to be this person, and I don’t feel like that. It’s like doing a comedy but you’re miserable. It’s like my life was like this show and I was always supposed to be on, but when the show was over I was completely miserable," he shared.
He added, “I’m just trying to keep it together, because, Kid Cudi, everybody’s hero, this person that you look up to. I didn’t want to let anybody down.”
