Brittney Griner Isn't Trying to Be a Deadbeat Baby Mama

The latest in the WNBA stars child support drama.

Brittney Griner's relationship with Glory Johnson quickly went downhill after the WNBA stars were arrested for assault and disorderly conduct last April.

Nearly a year later, there seems to be progress for the two to co-exist as co-parents. Bossip reported over the weekend that Griner has agreed to financial terms for child support toward her twin baby girls whom she shares with her estranged wife.

According to the website, Griner will start paying $2,516 in monthly child support beginning May 1. In addition to the child support, Griner will also pay up to 90 percent of the twins' childcare costs. That's separate from the $8,505 in back childcare expenses that Griner is also on the hook for.

“While Ms. Johnson can certainly provide some care herself, she needs significant assistance, especially during the upcoming WNBA season,” the judge wrote in court documents obtained by Bossip.

Both Griner and Johnson are expected to play the 2016 WNBA season this summer.

Hopefully, Griner and Johnson can put any lingering differences aside to co-parent for the sake of their babies. It's the right thing to do.
