Meet the Latest Viral Sensation: 'Like a Tornado, Girl!'
Watching the news is usually a bummer, but not on Wednesday. Courtney Barnes, a resident of Jackson, Miss., just sprinkled some sunshine over our lives with his amazing eyewitness account of a car crash in his neighborhood.
Barnes witnessed the accident while en route to Burger King, where he planned to get himself a "piece of burger," and instead saw a police car "twist around like a tornado, girl!"
Overcome with emotion, and what seems like genuine compassion, for the victims of the crash (who, we've since learned, are all fine) Barnes described the scene in such dramatic fashion for a moment we forgot that he was standing in front of the scene of an accident. The video of his eyewitness account went viral almost instantly.
With his fluorescent green ponytail, matching nails and makeup on fleek, Barnes has undeniable star quality. Even Nicki Minaj tweeted about him, using the hashtag #PieceOfBurger. But Barnes didn't just come out of nowhere. The Internet wasted no time researching who this star in the making was and discovered he is a two-time contestant on So You Think You Can Dance.
We predict big things in his future, like an Auto-Tuned remix of his news report at the least, but even a talk show of some kind if we're lucky.
Thanks, Courtney, for doing you and making our day. Watch the must-see interview below:
