Twitter Questions Why Amara La Negra Hasn't Quit 'Love & Hip Hop: Miami' After Messy Season 2 Premiere
With the introduction of Love & Hip Hop: Miami, the latest spin-off to stem from the popular VH1 franchise, it's fair to say that cast member Amara La Negra has arguably stood out as the clear breakout star of the new group.
After the conclusion of season one, in addition to scoring her first major record deal, the singer gained a loyal fan base that's now intensely disgruntled that she returned for season two, especially after witnessing how she is being portrayed.
The proud Afro-Latina quickly became one of the focal points of the recently aired season two premiere episode when she was put in the middle of a cheating scandal involving fellow cast member Gunplay.
During a scene, which some claim was likely aired to set up a large plot for the season, Amara is accused of hopping in his DMs, leading to insinuations that she was seeking to wreck his relationship with girlfriend Keyara.

Upon viewing the scene, fans took to Twitter to blame the showrunner, Mona Scott Young, for concocting the disappointing narrative around the usually positive figure in an attempt to ruin her image that she's recently worked to build.

Ahead of the premiere, Amara told Page Six that as she was "considered the breakout star of the first season" of the show, the cast naturally wants to fight with her. However, she stressed that she has better priorities than to engage.
"I'm too busy being successful and working on my own craft and trying to be great to be concerned about people's opinions about me," she said.
What's your take on this? Are you buying what went down during the episode?
