T.I. Celebrates Homecoming at BET Hip Hop Awards

The rapper takes the stage for the first time since release from prison.

Two days after completing an 11-month sentence for probation violation, Clifford “T.I.” Harris made a triumphant return to the hip hop.

Tip took the stage at the BET Hip Hop Awards tonight in Atlanta, marking a fitting homecoming for the King of the South. Decked out in a gray hooded sweatsuit, Rubber Band Man made a surprise appearance in front of a packed house at the Atlanta Civic Center, where he performed his just-leaked single "I'm Flexin'" and his new collabo with Young Jeezy, "F.A.M.E."

As previously reported, T.I. was released from an Atlanta halfway house on Thursday (September 29), ending his 10-month bid. The rapper’s 30-day stay at the lax halfway house was not without drama. T.I. was sent back to a federal prison after prison officials ruled he violated terms of his early release when he rode home from Arkansas’s Forrest City Correctional Facility in a luxury tour bus.
