Mary Cosby has learned that her son is a married man.

During the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, the entrepreneur –who returned to the series as a friend of the show– just found out that her son Robert Jr. has been secretive about a major life milestone. As rumors swirl that he walked down the aisle, his mom had to find out the truth for herself, as reported by PEOPLE.

In a one-on-one sit down, Cosby asked, "Why am I hearing rumors that you're married? So if I'm hearing it from people, I want to hear it from you."

As she pried more, he said, “I don’t know.”

And as intensity sweltered, Cosby uttered, “Lord, let it be no.”

That’s when Jr. decided to come clean. “I mean, kinda, yeah…“Like I went to the courthouse,” he confessed.

For Jr., he and his wife decided it was in their best interest to keep the development of their relationship “low-key”. Taking this in, Cosby felt disappointed that she was left out of her son’s big day. 

Additionally, his marriage confession came as a shock to Cosby because he still lives under her roof.  

"They both live in my house," Mary said during the episode. "But I don't see them much. We kinda have our own wings. And one day, like, they were getting dressed. He was rushing to go do something, and he was dressed up nice, and she was dressed up nice. But they were running full-blown — running like with all their might, but I didn't know they were going to go get married."

Although Jr. believes getting married was the right decision, Cosby is doubtful.

“He’s not ready for marriage,” she said in a confessional. “He has no idea that he has to man up. Like he’s going to be the sole provider, I mean I’m not going to be providing for him and her.”

Emotions began to swell for Cosby as she faced the reality that “her only son” is now a husband, as she doesn’t “have anyone else.”

"I just have you. I’m going to cry,” she said, as he replied, “I’m still here.”

With tears in her eyes, she said, "Don't be afraid to tell me anything," as he gave her a warm hug.
