Ms. Lauryn Hill & The Fugees Announce New Tour Dates With YG Marley
On Monday (June 24), Ms. Lauryn Hill announced a new set of tour dates with The Fugees after canceling several shows due to vocal strain.
“The Miseducation Anniversary Tour,” which celebrates the 25th anniversary of Billboard 200 No. 1 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, will kick off Aug. 9 in Tampa, Fla., at the Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheater. The last stop will be on Oct. 22 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
Hill’s son, YG Marley, whom she shares with Rohan Marley, will join the tour as a special guest.
The tour was previously postponed in November 2023. “As many of you may know, I’ve been battling serious vocal strain for the past month. I made it through each show by taking prescribed prednisone, but this can be detrimental to the body when taken in large amounts over long periods of time,” Hill wrote on Instagram at the time. “In order to prevent any long term negative affect on my voice and my body, I need to take time off to allow for real vocal recovery so that I can discontinue the medication completely.”
She added, “The shows that were cancelled this year will be rescheduled for early 2024 AND because of the overwhelming response, we’ll be adding new cities to the tour, including overseas.”
Tickets for the U.S. shows begin today (June 25) with a Citi presale at 10 a.m. local time on Live Nation’s official website. The general on sale will begin on Friday (June 28) at 10 a.m. local time. For the European shows, presales begin Wednesday (June 26) via Live Nation as well, with general onsale also beginning on Friday (June 28) at 10 a.m. local.
