Nipsey Hussle's Memorial Reportedly Removed After Attempted Monetization

Sources claim his family will find an alternative way to honor his legacy instead.

In a rather immoral move from some Nipsey Hussle fans, there is a price to pay for everything, including paying respects.

Earlier it was reported by TMZ that the main memorial site for Nipsey Hussle would be shutting down. Located outside of the rapper's Marathon Clothing store in South Central L.A.'s Crenshaw neighborhood, the memorial site has been a primary place for Nip fans all over the country to pay their respects to the slain artist.

  • As some are aware, the Victory Lap rapper was fatally shot last month in the parking lot of his shop. Since then, the West Slauson Ave. and Crenshaw Boulevard store has transformed into a provisional memorial site where fans have left candles, photos, flowers and more in memory of Nip.

Unfortunately, the memoriam grounds have also turned into a haven for hustlers and bootleggers, as fans have complained of being plagued by solicitors trying to profit off of Nipsey's name.

  • According to the complaints, people have sold everything from bootleg Nipsey T-shirts to tours, going as far as charging tourists to walk through the area where Nipsey was shot. Food trucks have also began camping outside of the store.

With the memorial site soon to be taken down, TMZ concludes that Nipsey's family plans to honor him in other ways, once his foundation is fully off the ground.
