On Friday, Miss Tina happily hopped on social media to give her Instagram fans an update on how she planned to celebrate her personal milestone.
“Birthday weekend in Big Sur. My boo surprised me with this trip,” she captioned an Instagram video, showing the beautiful beachside scenery.
She added, “It is a beautiful drive up here, but scary sometimes. I ain’t feeling those cliffs.”
For those who are unaware, Big Sur is a rugged stretch of California’s central coast that features seaside cliffs and scenic views of the misty coastline. Most people find the location intriguing for hiking, camping, and beachcombing.
The mother of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles later followed up with a video on Monday (her actual birthday) showing how she and Richard concluded their 3-day excursion in Santa Monica with a lovely dinner on the beach.
“One of the best birthdays that I ever had. And I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who sent me [messages]. I must have gotten 100 messages, which made me feel so loved and so appreciated. It just helped to make my birthday even better.”
