Prayers Up: Rapper Yella Beezy Reportedly Hospitalized After Being Shot At 12 Times
Yella Beezy is recovering in a Dallas-area hospital after being shot at 12 times in a drive-by shooting in Lewisville, Texas on Sunday morning (October 14).
According to the Dallas News, the shooting reportedly happened on the Sam Rayburn Tollway at around 3:30 a.m. The 26-year-old native of the city was driving on the tollway when another vehicle pulled alongside his and started firing.
Authorities arrived on the scene and the rapper was rushed to a nearby hospital after he was hit multiple times. He is reportedly in stable condition.
Central Track, another Dallas-based media outlet, also verified the shooting, tweeted, “We can now confirm that rapper Yella Beezy -- whose 'That's on Me' single has become one of the biggest songs of the year and one of the biggest rap hits ever out of Dallas -- was hospitalized after being shot last night.”
A motive for the shooting has not yet been established nor has a suspect(s) been apprehended. Some are speculating that it could have something to do with Beezy’s beef with comedian Roylee Pate, who died from a blood clot after being shot earlier this month.
Our thoughts are with Yella Beezy and we hope he make a full recovery soon.
